They are unique in being able to offer clients a complete Patent protection and enforcement service as the department comprises both Patent Attorneys and Solicitors. The Patent Attorneys cover all areas from Technology, Media and Software through to large Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences businesses.
They now seek an additional Chemistry Patent Attorney who can be Fully or Partially Qualified. You will join a growing part of the Patent team. You will handle a range of Chemistry work but with an initial focus on organic Chemistry or Pharmaceutical work. You will have the opportunity to handle a range of IP based work including Drafting and Prosecution and EPO Oppositions and Litigation before the UK Courts. There is a strong career development plan at this firm and as the team grows this will present opportunities for those seeking full advancement.
You will have an academic and professional background in Chemistry, with a focus on Organic work ideally, who is part or fully qualified. Those candidates who have spent some time in industry either as an Attorney or before joining the IP profession will be attractive as will those who can demonstrate skills in handling direct client work. This is a close knit unit so strong team players are a must! An effective communication style both remotely and face-to-face will be important as you build both internal and external relationships through your career. Attention to detail, thoroughness and the ability to organise and prioritise will be seen as pre-requisites.
