Electronics Specialist Patent Attorney (PQ / Qualified) required for established firm of Patent & Trade Mark Attorneys in Central London.
Our client is a recognised industry leader, being highly rated in both Chambers and Legal500 directories; they have a reputation for excellence in a range of technology areas including their Electronics group. This group is going through a period of expansion on the back of new client wins and a consistent & loyal historic client base. They act for a range of businesses including those in green technologies, automotive, aerospace, satellite technology, telecoms and software. These clients range from the multinational corporations to those businesses within the SME sector.
This role will offer a broad range of work and it is this variety which really gives this vacancy a point of difference set against the telecoms / software focussed roles which the IP market has had to offer over the last 6 months. Candidates will typically work on Patents arising out of the aerospace, satellite technology and automotive sector, however there will be the opportunity to experience a range of technologies and maintain a broad range of technical expertise. You will work for a partner who is highly regarded both internally and externally and who will be a strong training mentor and someone from whom candidates will undoubtedly gain significantly.
Due to the nature of the people within the firm already, our client can be flexible on the level of candidate they hire. Be it at Part-Qualified or Fully Qualified level, you will have a broad Electronics background and be someone who is happy handling a range of work and not being pigeon-holed into one technology area. Flexibility and adaptability will therefore be important. Our client is someone who values face-to-face client interaction and candidates must already have or display a willingness to hone client facing skills.
Salary will be commensurate with level of hire and relative experience of the candidate who is successful. The benefits package is generous. There is a coherent career development structure in place to allow candidates joining at whatever level to fulfil their long term potential.
