A top legal 500 well recognised firm seek a family paralegal to join their specialist childcare team in central York. It is essential you have previous childcare experience and a solid understanding of the field. This role is ideal for someone looking to step into a full service, national firm and excel their career to the next level.

The firm has a solid reputation, built and developed over time and provide a wide variety of level services and first class legal advice to their clients. As a result they have established lasting relationships with many clients. The childcare department is an extremely strong team where individuals are nurtured and developed closely under the supervision of a highly skilled partner.

The Role
-You will be required to provide high quality assistance to the skilled partner of the childcare department
-Your work load will be varied and consist of attending public law outline meetings, liaising with experts regarding fees and court attendances, attend court and counsel, draft legal documents and prepare trial bundles just to name a few

The candidate
-The firm are keen to find a strong childcare paralegal that wants to develop and secure a long term career in this area of law
-It is essential you have working knowledge and understanding of Children Law and the Children Act
-Ideally you will have six months experience working in another child care department although this is not essential and LPC graduates who have studied child care modules are also encouraged to apply as long as you have some practical experience as a family law paralegal
