Are you a Housing or Regeneration Legal Secretary looking for an exciting new role in Manchester?

The client are looking for somebody who has previous experience in the same or similar area of law so that they have an understanding of the documents / terminology used.

The department in which the housing and regeneration legal secretary will be working has a long history with housing associations, public authorities and charities. They deal with all aspects of:

- Site acquisition and development
- Property disposals
- Leases
- Management agreements
- Securitisation
- Housing management
- Anti-social behaviour
- Court proceedings
- Leasehold management
- Right to buy

This role will provide support for two fee earners working as a team along with providing remote support for fee earners within the Housing and Regeneration team in the Manchester office, so strong organisational skills, and ability to prioritise and work as part of a team in order to complete work in a timely manner is important for the role.

There is a requirement for document production in this role, such as leases, agreements etc. so proven experience of this is essential.
The Housing & Regeneration department is a demanding and pressurised department so the ability to work well under pressure whilst dealing with conflicting deadlines is important.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Produce correspondence and legal documentation via audio and copy typing
- To respond to internal/external telephone queries, ensuring telephones are covered at all times
- Manage fee earner diaries using Microsoft Outlook to include client appointments, internal and external meetings, client and business lunches
- File all hard copy and electronic documents, correspondence and documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Producing legal bundles, document organisation, indexing and assembly of files for checking with guidance by fee earner
- Assist fee earners with their credit control function, liaising with relevant central credit controllers to increase cash collection
- Organise fee earner business travel and accommodation in line with the Firm's Travel Policy where required.
