An exciting opportunity has come up within a top tier private practice for an IP Systems Administrator to join their Inprotech team based in Birmingham
This is a broad role designing, configuring and administering a number of integrated systems which support their back and front office services.
Key responsibilities
Administer inprotech to meet the requirements of intellectual property law and form's business Practices.
Undertake systems to ensure changes meet business and legal requirements.
Create and maintain project and systems documentation.
Work closely with other members of the team. This will include records and systems managers, fee earners and external suppliers such as CPA.
Assisting in the deployment of changes to Inprotech and integrated systems.
Attend meetings with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to discuss issues and priorities.
Assist and deputise for the Inprotech Operations Manager.
Working on multiple concurrent projects, liaising closely with other project resources (including the project manager and project sponsor) and escalating issues and concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.
Help define/refine and implement systems management practices.
Be familiar and comply with the Company's quality management systems and policies
Personal Qualities
Experience in IS development in customer (or internal user) facing roles.
Knowledge of Inprotech (ideally version 6 or later and both client server and Inproweb variants)
Experience of administering Inprotech in a live environment.
In depth experience of systems development, implementation and integration.
Understanding of intellectual property rights and services.
T-SQL
Systems and integration design
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Understanding of service quality and risk
Self-starting, motivated and determined (yet diplomatic and tactful when required).
Flexibility and understanding that out of hours work is required from time to time.
Maintaining and administering IP Portfolio Management System (PMS) would be of interest. This would be a great opportunity for a person to cross-train to the market-leading , de-facto standard PMS. And to join and be trained by one of the biggest and most experienced Inprotech support and administration teams.
Experience and responsibility for managing, configuring and administering any complex, business critical computer application. BUT anyone with a background in IT and IP would have a real advantage.
