Mechanical or Engineering focussed Patent Attorney sought by an established IP Private Practice in the South-West. A multi-office firm with a range of commercially astute Attorneys; they now seek a Qualified Attorney to join the firm initially to work alongside a Partner but who will longer term have the remit to take over the caseload and clients of this Partner as they move towards retirement.
Although based in the UK, this firm has a really strong portfolio of clients. These range from local inventors to domestic corporate and multi-national work arising out of the US, Far East and other parts of the world. They pride themselves on providing a bespoke service with a commercial focus. Driven by the ethos of delivering honest, results driven advice to clients of all sizes, they cover technology areas including Chemical, Biotechnological as well as these key areas of Mechanical, Engineering and Technology.
The Engineering and Technology areas have continued to win significant client wins. Household names producing mass consumer goods rest alongside clients in the aerospace, automotive and green technology areas. The successful candidate will be comfortable handling a broad range of work across the spectrum.
The successful candidate is likely to:-
- Be a Qualified UK and European Patent Attorney
- Have an Academic and Professional background in Mechanical, Engineering or Technology areas.
- Be looking for the next (and ideally final) challenge with aspirations to Partnership.
- Be ready to take the step into Partnership within the next couple of years or so.
- Have a considered and effective approach to client care and be comfortable dealing with clients of all sizes.
Salary will be commensurate with level of experience and qualification and there will be a benefits and bonus scheme attached to the role.
