Who am I and what can I do for you?
I am a Consultant in the Paralegal and Legal Executive Division based in the Leeds office. The main purpose of my role is to recruit Paralegals and Legal Executives into Private Practice in the Yorkshire and North East region.
What else should you know about me?
I originally started my legal career at Thompson's Solicitors in Sheffield, after I finished university, as a Legal Advisor on their Trade Union Legal Advice line. In order to progress my career, I then worked as a Fee Earner in the Residential Conveyancing department at Beaumont Legal in Wakefield.

Beaumonts then offered me a training contract and I started as a Trainee Solicitor in April 2009, qualifying in September 2010. I spent a few more months at Beaumont Legal as a Solicitor, but had realised long before then, that my personality was more suited to a job which was more about people and less about drafting legal documents. After much thought and consideration, I decided to take up the new challenge of legal recruitment and joined Sacco Mann, originally as a Resourcer, before being promoted to the position of Consultant.
If I wasn't doing what I'm doing now, what alternative career would I choose and why?
I was always really fascinated by history in general at school, especially both the World War and the Cold War eras, and I would have loved to have become a historian. I really enjoyed the research involved and discovering they way things were done in the past and why. On the completely opposite end of the spectrum, I have always loved ice skating and used to take lessons. I have always wished I could skate like a professional as I find the routines so beautiful; I really admire the skill and the dedication involved.
Likes: There are so many but to narrow it down: shoes; music - in particular live music, including festivals and a new love of opera and jazz; drinking cocktails and eating in unique / niche bars and restaurants; all kinds of dancing - in particular, the new craze of Zumba! Holidays and going away for the weekend home and abroad.
Dislikes: rudeness, brussel sprouts, snoring and bits in yogurts.
