Social Media & Business

For most of us, the power of Social Media is a mundane and everyday concept. We wake up, grab our phones and scroll through the activities of countless friends and acquaintances in a matter of seconds before we’ve even hopped in the shower. In writing, this sounds like a concept for Black Mirror, but we all know it is the reality most people and businesses harness to deliver their brand to the public eye.

It is commonplace for businesses to use Social Media now to promote their services though, more significantly, many organisations find Social Media to be a useful tool to ascribe a ‘personality’ to their company.

In recruitment, we know quality candidates looking for a new role won’t come to us. We go to them. We guarantee a recruitment service that matches candidates to jobs through patience and years of experience. Through digital connection, we are ensuring we can fully deliver our services to both candidates and clients, who know who we are and what we can provide.

As outlined in a 2016 Hootsuite article by Emily Copp: “ social media for business is no longer optional”. While we are still novices in the eagle eye of history, businesses are becoming more and more reliant on technology to supplement their business plans. And boy is it valuable!

Since 2011 there has been over a 50% increase in the use of social media when recruiting and nearly 80% of jobseekers use Social Media when conducting a search.

Towards the end of last year The Verdict conducted a survey for the UK legal sector to find out which firms were top in their Social Media presence, you can find out more here.

It is undeniable Social Media plays a prevalent role in business; how do you think your company is doing?
