Part qualified / Finals Standard Chemistry Attorney

City of London
bonus and superb benefits package
Job type:
Permanent, Full time
Practice area:
Patent Attorney
Job reference:
This vacancy has now expired.

Rare opportunity for a part-qualified or finals standard Chemistry Attorney to join an international law firm. With a truly exceptional, high-profile client list, you will have access to significant direct work and will enjoy a huge variation within your caseload including due diligence, drafting, SPCs and complex prosecution along with considerable oppositions, appeals and litigation work.

This role will suit an organic Chemist who has had exposure to and an interest in pharmaceuticals and life sciences. If you are currently in-house or in a conventional patent and trade mark practice and are intrigued as to what potential a firm of this scale and profile can offer, but have questions or concerns about how different this might be, please let the firm alleviate them. They will be happy to meet very informally in the first instance to help you understand whether this could be the right 'fit' for you. To put one or two immediate common concerns to bed: in this instance, working in a law firm will not mean you will be working extreme hours; the team all work very 'typical' office hours; you also won't have a billings target that is higher than other traditional private practice. This said, all their Patent Attorneys are able to benefit from the kudos and profile of the firm; their back-office functions are seamless and their ability to win (and retain) business is impressive. Culturally, they are very down to earth and grounded and they invest heavily in the training and development of their employees; their renumeration package is also excellent.

If this has piqued your interest, please do not hesitate to contact Lisa Kelly on 0113 245 3338 or via for a conversation in confidence.
