Our client is a consultancy looking for a non-practising employment lawyer/legal executive/paralegal to join their growing team. Candidates will need to have at least 3 -4 years employment law experience. Experience of tribunal work and dealing with a full range of contentious employment matters is required.
You will liaise with significant corporate and large institutional clients and be involved in delivering high quality work. You will need to be able to handle many case files, meet deadlines, efficiently multi-task to ensure the highest quality of services at all times, and take responsibility for daily management of cases to always ensure excellent technical and client services and support to both clients and barristers. Knowledge of how to identify and obtain key papers from the client, ordering, paginating, indexing bundle, getting bundles copied and distributing to the client, barrister and solicitors and tribunals or courts as required.
The successful candidate will Identifying relevant issues in a claim and/or defence, drafting Lists of Documents and interviewing and obtaining draft statements from each relevant witness. In addition you will need to be able to exhibit general case management including identifying and implementing next steps.
This role would suit a solicitor or barrister tired of the staid environment of Private Practice who would like to get involved in a more business focused role which would provide greater interaction with clients.
