Working within a team you will deal with all aspects of the prosecution phase of UK,
European and foreign patent applications, in addition to UK, European and foreign trade mark and
design applications.
Duties will include the following:
Advising clients and foreign associates regarding formalities deadlines forwarding official documents.
Corresponding with the Intellectual Property Office, European Patent Office, World Intellectual
Property Office and EU Trade Mark and Design Office on behalf of its clients.
Authorising payments of relevant fees.
Filing translated claims/patent specifications and responses.
Dealing with examination of patent applications, reaffirming requests for examination, requesting extensions of time, filing certified copies and other various forms and documents.
Drafting standard letters to clients and associates.
Maintaining an electronic diary/reminder system.
Entering new cases onto the Progressor database and updating records and case files
Monitoring patent/trade mark/design publications
Billing and preparing invoices.
