Junior Legal Counsel – South East England – SC35328
A new role has arisen with one of the world’s top insurance companies for a junior legal counsel to join the legal team responsible for the UK and Ireland, providing a broad commercial service as well as industry specific insurance advice.
In the course of the role, you will be required to advise on contractual matters and corporate transactions as well as advising management on legal risks affecting the company’s businesses. You will also be required to draft, negotiate and review commercial contracts between the company and its business partners as well as third parties and service providers. Due to the industry in which this company operates, it is crucial that all applicants have knowledge and experience of the insurance sector, as the vast majority of the work will involve the insurance sector.
The ideal candidate will have trained with a leading City or national law firm before qualifying into a commercial team where they have gained at least 2 years’ experience of commercial contracts in relation to the insurance sector. It would also be advantageous to have a broad knowledge of the consumer warranty industry, the FSA, and other insurance regulatory bodies.
