A Chartered Legal Executive is a qualified Lawyer, regulated by CILEx who has qualified as Fellow through the CILEx qualification. They are a well qualified lawyer who can undertake most of the legal activities that solicitors can do. They can be Partners in Law firms, run their own practices and be appointed to the judiciary.
The route to be a Chartered Legal Executive is a vocational course studied over a period of two to four years, depending on what qualifications you already have, and is a more cost-effective alternative to becoming a solicitor. Legal Executives are represented across many disciplines but with a focus on areas such as Residential Conveyancing, Commercial Property, Civil Litigation, Personal Injury, Family and Private Client.
Our specialist Chartered Legal Executive teams have an in-depth understanding of this qualification often working alongside our Solicitor colleagues to find you a suitable opportunity.
