Insolvency Jobs
Insolvency, often also referred to as corporate restructuring is a legal service offering which can involve both contentious and non-contentious aspects. In the main, the large commercial law firms typically have dedicated non-contentious teams advising (for example) insolvency practitioners and financial institutions. They will also advise distressed companies in corporate restructurings across an array of industry sectors acting for liquidators, administrators, administrative receivers and trustees.
Transform your career in Insolvency Law
One of the advantages of a career within Insolvency is that they tend to work closely with a number of other departments due to the nature of the work for example real estate, corporate and banking divisions.
Equally, this area of law often lends itself to developing experience in other commercial legal specialisms such as commercial property/real estate. For example when dealing with distressed real estate matters this may involve drafting licences, leases and even sales of properties when acting for fixed charge receivers.
Insolvency is not an area that is confined exclusively to the large commercial law firms however and it is important to make this distinction as there are a number of highly successful full service law firms and of course boutique commercial law firms who specialise within this field also.
