About the role
- Position: Banking Solicitor (Associate level)
- Practice Area: Banking & Capital Markets
- Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire + Hybrid Working (two days from home)
- Role Type: Full-time, permanent
- Key responsibilities include advising on loan agreements, security documentation, bond issues, private placements, ISDA agreements, and related funding arrangements. The role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating banking documentation, liaising directly with clients, and supporting the team with transaction management.
The ideal candidate
- Solicitor with 2-5 years’ PQE, specialising in banking law and/or capital markets transactions
- Experience in handling loan agreements, security documentation, and refinancing matters
- Excellent communication and drafting skills
- Ability to prioritise a demanding workload and work effectively within a team
- Detail-oriented, professional, and adaptable to changing priorities
Although experience in charity law or housing association regulations is advantageous, it is not essential.
