Junior Banking Solicitor

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a junior banking solicitor to join a well-established and highly regarded banking team in Leeds.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor at 0–2 years’ PQE who is looking to develop their career within banking and finance and gain broad exposure to a varied and interesting caseload.
The role
You will join a stable, long-established team with a broad banking practice, working alongside experienced lawyers and gaining exposure to a range of transactions, including:
- Real Estate Finance (REF)
- Development Finance
- Healthcare Finance
- Leveraged Finance
- Wider banking and finance matters
The role offers excellent scope to develop your technical knowledge and commercial understanding, with the opportunity to work on transactions across a number of different sectors and financing structures.
You’ll be supported by an experienced team and given the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as your experience develops.
About you
We’re looking for a solicitor who is:
- 0–2 years’ PQE
- Ideally has some experience in banking/finance, although strong candidates with a broader transactional background will also be considered
- Keen to build a long-term career in banking and finance
- Commercially minded, proactive and keen to learn
- A strong communicator and team player
You don’t need to have experience across all of the areas listed above — the breadth of the team means this is an excellent opportunity to develop and broaden your banking experience.
The opportunity
This is a particularly attractive opportunity for a junior lawyer looking for stability, quality work and genuine career development within an established banking practice.
The role is based in Leeds and operates on a hybrid basis, with the team typically working two days per week in the office.
