The Role

A leading claimant practice is seeking an experienced Solicitor to join its specialist Catastrophic Injury team.

This is an opportunity to work on complex, high-value litigation involving individuals who have suffered life-changing injuries. The team acts on a wide range of serious injury matters, including acquired brain injuries, spinal injuries, multiple trauma claims, and fatal accident cases, often involving substantial damages and long-term rehabilitation needs.

You will work alongside recognised specialists in the field while taking an active role in progressing your own caseload. The position offers exposure to challenging and rewarding work, with a strong emphasis on achieving the best possible outcomes for clients and supporting them through what are often highly sensitive circumstances.

The Work

  • Handling a varied caseload of serious and catastrophic injury claims.
  • Assisting on complex, high-value litigation involving significant injuries and long-term care requirements.
  • Working closely with leading medical experts, barristers, rehabilitation providers, and other professionals.
  • Drafting key legal documentation, including witness evidence, schedules of loss, pleadings, and instructions to experts.
  • Supporting clients and their families throughout the litigation process.
  • Attending conferences, settlement meetings, mediations, and court hearings where appropriate.
  • Identifying opportunities to maximise rehabilitation and interim support for clients.
  • Maintaining high standards of client care and contributing to the ongoing success of the team.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor with experience handling claimant personal injury matters.
  • Previous exposure to serious injury, catastrophic injury, clinical negligence, or other complex litigation would be advantageous.
  • Strong organisational and case management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with vulnerable clients.
  • A compassionate and client-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within complex injury litigation.
