About the role

This is a Children Law Solicitor role based in Lincoln. The successful candidate will advise and represent clients involved in private children law and domestic abuse matters, with opportunities for court advocacy and file management using the Proclaim system (training provided). You will play a vital role in supporting the Children Department, building strong professional relationships and maintaining high-quality standards. The role offers a variety of activities designed to use your legal expertise and organisational skills, providing a rewarding challenge for those committed to advancing children's welfare and family law.

The ideal candidate

You will be a qualified Solicitor with substantial experience within a Children Law department, ideally with Resolution accreditation and/or Children Panel membership. Your first-class communication skills, confidence, and professional demeanour will enable you to represent clients effectively. You should be highly organised, able to work efficiently under pressure, and possess excellent IT skills, including Word, Outlook, and Excel. A full UK driving licence and knowledge of Legal Aid procedures are essential. Your friendly, proactive attitude and ability to use initiative will help you excel in this role and contribute positively to the team.
