About the Firm

Sacco Mann is recruiting for a well-established and highly regarded law firm seeking a Defendant Personal Injury Claims Handler to join its growing Insurance Litigation team in Bradford.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Claims Handler looking to develop their career within defendant personal injury work. The firm offers a supportive environment, quality training, and clear progression opportunities alongside an attractive benefits package.

The successful candidate will join a busy and collaborative team handling a range of Employer's Liability and Public Liability claims for well-known clients.

The Role

You will manage a caseload of pre-litigated Defendant Personal Injury matters, predominantly involving EL/PL claims.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Handling pre-litigated Employer's Liability and Public Liability claims
  • Investigating liability and reviewing evidence
  • Liaising with insurers, clients, claimants, and third parties
  • Managing claims in accordance with protocols and service standards
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating case management systems
  • Working within agreed processes and deadlines
  • Supporting the wider team to achieve departmental objectives

Previous exposure to retail claims would be advantageous but is not essential.

Candidate Requirements

Applications are welcomed from candidates with:

  • A minimum of 18 months' experience handling Personal Injury claims
  • Experience within defendant claims, EL/PL, or insurance litigation environments
  • Strong communication and client management skills
  • Excellent IT and case management system skills
  • A methodical and process-driven approach
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop

This role would suit a Claims Handler, Personal Injury Fee Earner, Insurance Claims Handler, or Paralegal looking to build a long-term career within Defendant Personal Injury.
