One of the largest and most respected Clinical Negligence teams in the UK are seeking talented Clinical Negligence Solicitors to join their Manchester office, working on a stimulating and meaningful caseload of defendant clinical negligence matters.
You will be part of a specialist team handling complex and high-value clinical negligence claims on behalf of major healthcare bodies, insurers, and medical defence organisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of defendant clinical negligence claims from inception through to resolution.
- Draft pleadings, witness statements, responses, and counter schedules.
- Engage in negotiations, mediations, and settlement discussions.
- Act as a key day-to-day contact for clients, delivering clear, commercially focused advice.
- Ensure compliance with client protocols, internal procedures, and billing requirements.
- Support and mentor junior colleagues, contributing to team development.
- Participate in business development, training, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Produce written content for internal and external publications.
About You
- Qualified Solicitor (NQ+), with experience in defendant clinical negligence, or related areas such as claimant clinical negligence or personal injury.
- Strong technical ability with confidence handling complex legal issues.
- Commercially minded, with a practical and client-focused approach.
- Able to work independently while recognising when to seek guidance.
- A collaborative team player with an interest in monitoring others.
- Effective communicator with strong relationship-building skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
