An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Negligence Solicitor with 1–5 years’ PQE to join a well-established team in Birmingham.
This is a great opportunity for a claimant clinical negligence lawyer to work on a varied caseload of high-quality claims, acting for individuals who have suffered serious injury or loss as a result of negligent medical treatment.
You’ll have the opportunity to take responsibility for your own matters, work closely with experienced colleagues and build strong relationships with clients throughout their claims.
The Work will include:
- Managing a caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters from instruction through to resolution.
- Advising clients in relation to medical negligence claims, including cases involving serious and life-changing injuries.
- Investigating claims, reviewing medical records and obtaining expert evidence.
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements, schedules of loss and other legal documentation.
- Negotiating settlements and working towards the best possible outcomes for clients.
- Liaising with medical experts, counsel and other professionals.
- Providing clear, empathetic and practical advice to clients throughout their claims.
- Working closely with senior members of the team on more complex matters.
- Contributing to the continued development and growth of the practice.
About You
We’re looking for a solicitor with:
- 1–5 years’ PQE in Clinical Negligence.
- Experience handling claimant clinical negligence matters.
- Strong legal, analytical and drafting skills.
- Excellent client care and communication skills.
- The ability to manage your own caseload and work effectively to deadlines.
- A thorough and compassionate approach when dealing with clients who have suffered serious injury.
- Commercial awareness and good attention to detail.
- A collaborative approach and genuine ambition to develop your career.
