About the Role
As a Commercial Litigation Solicitor, you will manage a varied caseload of contentious matters, working closely with colleagues to deliver practical and commercially focused advice to clients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a caseload of commercial litigation matters, with appropriate support and supervision where required.
- Advising clients on a range of commercial disputes, helping them understand their legal position and available options.
- Drafting legal correspondence, pleadings, witness statements and other relevant documentation.
- Conducting legal research and preparing cases for negotiation, mediation and court proceedings.
- Liaising with clients, counsel, experts and other relevant parties throughout the litigation process.
- Exploring alternative dispute resolution methods and negotiating settlements where appropriate.
- Maintaining strong client relationships through clear communication and a proactive approach to case management.
- Supporting the wider team with complex matters and contributing to the continued success of the department.
The Ideal Candidate
- Newly Qualified solicitor or Solicitor 1-3yrs PQE with experience within Commercial Litigation
- Strong understanding of commercial disputes, contractual issues, and dispute resolution processes
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
- Proactive, organised, and capable of managing a busy workload efficiently
