About the Role
You will join the firm's growing team, working alongside experienced Partners and colleagues on a varied caseload of commercial disputes. The wider practice covers commercial litigation, financial services disputes, insurance, competition, IP litigation, regulatory and compliance, and technology disputes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising clients on a broad range of commercial disputes and contentious matters.
- Managing litigation throughout the dispute lifecycle, from pre-action strategy through to trial, enforcement and settlement.
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements, expert instructions, applications and correspondence.
- Supporting and leading, where appropriate, mediation, settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution.
- Working with clients across sectors including technology, financial services, real estate, manufacturing and retail.
- Collaborating with colleagues across different offices and specialist practice areas on complex matters.
- Developing strong client relationships and becoming a trusted adviser.
- Contributing to business development, thought leadership and client events.
- Supporting and supervising junior lawyers and trainees where appropriate.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Solicitor with at least 1+ years PQE.
- Strong technical grounding in commercial litigation
- Experience managing a varied caseload of commercial disputes, including High Court litigation.
- Excellent drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to deliver practical, solutions-focused advice.
- Confident managing client relationships and taking ownership of matters.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for working within a national team.
- An interest in business development and contributing to the growth of the practice.
