Commercial Property Solicitor | Newcastle | Hybrid | Residential Development
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to join a well-established and growing Housebuilding team in Newcastle. This role offers the chance to advise a broad client base of national, regional and SME residential developers on high-quality residential development work.
The Role
You will manage a varied caseload covering all aspects of residential development, including:
- Site acquisitions, site assembly and disposals.
- Due diligence and preparation of legal reports.
- Drafting and negotiating Contracts, Option Agreements, Promotion Agreements, Building Leases, Transfers and Overage Agreements.
- Preparing sites for plot sales and working closely with specialist teams to ensure a smooth handover.
- Supervising junior solicitors, trainees and paralegals, while supporting their ongoing development.
- Building strong client relationships, contributing to business development initiatives and helping to grow the housebuilding practice.
About You
You will ideally have:
- 6+ years' PQE with strong experience in housebuilder site acquisition and residential development work.
- Excellent technical drafting and commercial property knowledge.
- Strong organisational, communication and client relationship skills.
- Experience supervising junior lawyers or an interest in developing these skills.
- A proactive, commercially minded approach with an enthusiasm for business development.
