A leading national law firm is looking to add a talented Commercial Solicitor to its highly regarded and growing team in Leeds.

The team advises major public sector bodies, including healthcare organisations, as well as private sector businesses delivering services and solutions into the public sector.
The focus of the role is far more than simply drafting contracts. You'll work closely with clients to understand what they are trying to achieve, helping them navigate risk, overcome challenges and structure commercial arrangements that deliver successful outcomes. The team is known for its pragmatic, solutions-focused approach and is involved in complex, high-profile matters that frequently attract industry attention.
The Opportunity
- Advising public and private sector clients on a broad range of commercial matters
- Drafting and negotiating a variety of complex commercial agreements
- Supporting major projects across healthcare, technology, infrastructure and government sectors
- Working alongside leading lawyers in the field with excellent mentoring and development opportunities
- Exposure to public sector contracting and procurement matters, with training available for those looking to develop expertise in this area
- Building direct client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives
About You
- Due to qualify this year or recently qualified (up to circa 3 years' PQE)
- Strong grounding in commercial contracts and commercial law matters
- A keen interest in public sector work, healthcare or procurement law (specific experience in these areas are not a pre-requisite but you must have a genuine interest to progress your career in this fascinating and ever changing sector).
- Commercially minded with a practical approach to problem solving
- Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in building client relationships
- Ambitious, collaborative and keen to develop your career within a market-leading team
