An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing Construction & Engineering team in Manchester, working on high-profile infrastructure and development projects across the UK.
This is a fantastic role for an experienced Solicitor looking to develop their expertise within a supportive and ambitious team that advises on major projects in sectors including transport, healthcare, residential development, and public infrastructure.
The team has built a strong reputation nationally for advising developers, public sector bodies, funders, and major organisations on complex construction and engineering matters. With continued growth in infrastructure and projects work, this role offers excellent long-term progression opportunities and direct client exposure from the outset.
The Opportunity
You will work closely with experienced partners and senior lawyers on a broad range of non-contentious construction matters, including:

Drafting and negotiating construction and engineering contracts

Advising on framework agreements, consultant appointments, call-off contracts and pre-construction service agreements

Working with NEC4 and bespoke forms of contract
-
Supporting major infrastructure and development projects
-
Attending and leading client meetings where appropriate

Assisting with tenders, fee proposals and business development initiatives

Managing your own caseload with increasing responsibility

Supervising junior team members and supporting knowledge sharing across the team

About You

3+ years PQE in construction, commercial contracts, projects, or infrastructure-related work

Strong drafting and communication skills

The ability to manage competing deadlines effectively
Candidates with broader commercial contracts or projects experience who are interested in specialising in construction and infrastructure work are also encouraged to apply.
