About the Team
The Construction team is known for its strength in non-contentious work, advising clients across sectors including retail, hospitality, leisure, and large-scale development.
The team handles contract negotiation, procurement strategy, and due diligence for major projects, while also advising on risk, insolvency, and dispute resolution.
Work spans both transactional and contentious matters on behalf of a brad range of clients including landlords, tenants, lenders, contractors, and consultants.
About the Role
You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality construction advice, with a mix of non-contentious and some contentious work. Responsibilities include:
- Drafting and negotiating construction contracts and related documents
- Advising on consultant appointments, subcontracts, and agreements
- Supporting real estate transactions with construction input
- Carrying out due diligence and contract risk reviews
- Advising on disputes, including adjudication and litigation support
- Contributing to client relationships and business development
You’ll be given early responsibility, direct client exposure, and the opportunity to work on complex, high-value matters. As well as this, there will be the opportunity to work across various teams when needed.
About You
- 4+ years’ PQE in Construction law
- Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills
- Commercial, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Confident managing work and engaging directly with clients
- Collaborative team player with a growth mindset
- Interest in business development and building client relationships
- Based in Manchester, with occasional travel to other UK offices
