Our client, a leading commercial law firm renowned for its expertise in construction disputes, is seeking a Contentious Construction Solicitor to join their dynamic national team. This role offers extremely flexible hybrid working, allowing you to choose whether to work from home or the office, and even which office you work from across their national network. They are looking for someone to work on high-value and complex construction disputes as part of a team providing expert advice, and supporting the firm’s ambitious growth plans within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Supporting ranked Construction Litigation Partner as well as running some of your own matters ( depending on PQE)
- Matters are broad ranging covering the full spectrum of construction litigation including PFI/PPP and project-related cases
- Handling a diverse caseload of significant claims, including adjudications, defect issues, and high-value disputes
- Able and happy to take on direct client contact, and also start to get invoveld in the further development of clients via training, seminars etc
- Collaborating with multi-office teams and external industry stakeholders
Requirements
- 1-5 years PQE with strong contentious construction experience
- Strong legal analysis, drafting, and client liaison skills
- Ability to manage own workload efficiently and effectively
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to dispute resolution
- Desirable: PFI/PPP experience, but not essential
- Ambition to work within a high-performing team and contribute to business development activities
