Corporate Solicitor | 5+ | Leeds | Route to Partnership
Sacco Mann Recruitment is proud to be working with a highly respected regional law firm seeking an experienced Corporate Solicitor to join their growing team in Leeds.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious corporate lawyer at either Senior Associate, Legal Director or Partner level to join a well-established regional practice and play a key role in the continued development of its Leeds offering. The role would suit someone with a strong corporate background who is looking for a long-term opportunity with genuine scope to develop their profile, client base and position within the team.
The Role
- Advising a broad range of businesses, shareholders and investors on corporate matters
- Handling a varied caseload of corporate transactions
- Acting on acquisitions and disposals
- Advising on mergers, reorganisations and corporate restructures
- Supporting clients with shareholder agreements and corporate governance matters
- Advising on investments, joint ventures and other strategic transactions
- Managing transactions from initial instruction through to completion
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients
- Developing new client and professional relationships
- Working closely with colleagues across the wider firm to provide a full-service offering
- Playing an active role in the continued growth of the Leeds corporate team

Key Responsibilities
- Managing your own portfolio of corporate matters
- Advising on acquisitions, disposals, restructures and investments
- Drafting and negotiating corporate documentation
- Advising shareholders and directors on corporate and governance matters
- Managing transactions and working alongside other advisers where appropriate
- Building strong and lasting client relationships
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities
- Contributing to the strategic development of the Leeds corporate team
- Supporting and mentoring more junior members of the team where appropriate
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider firm
About You
The ideal candidate will be an experienced corporate lawyer with a strong technical background and a genuine interest in developing their career within a highly regarded regional practice. You will have:
- Qualified Solicitor with significant Corporate experience
- Experience handling a broad range of corporate transactions
- Strong technical knowledge across acquisitions, disposals and corporate advisory work
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to provide practical advice
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills
- A proven ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
- Business development experience and a desire to grow your own profile
- Leadership or mentoring experience, particularly at Partner level
- Ambition to play a key role in the continued development of a Leeds corporate team
- A collaborative and proactive approach
