Our client is an award-winning boutique firm based in Manchester, who are expanding their specialist Court of Protection team and seeking a dedicated Court of Protection Paralegal to join them.
As a Court of Protection Paralegal, you will:
- Support vulnerable clients who lack capacity due to brain injury, illness, or dementia.
- Work closely with a team of lawyers to manage clients' property and financial affairs.
- Act as a first point of contact for clients, their families and carers.
- Handle day-to-day financial tasks including paying bills, purchasing items like vehicles, and managing budgets.
- Conduct annual home visits and maintain regular telephone contact with clients.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial management on behalf of clients.
- Use electronic case management systems to maintain case files and records.
What we are looking for:
- Prior experience as a Court of Protection paralegal and a strong background in finance, budgeting, and managing household finances.
- Confidence with telephone communication in a friendly, professional manner.
- Great organisational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail.
- A solid grasp of IT systems.
- Negotiation experience and a practical mindset.
