A well-established and growing law firm is looking to recruit an NQ Criminal Defence Solicitor to join its expanding team in Warrington.
This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor or trainee due to qualify into Criminal Law to join a supportive and collaborative environment handling a varied caseload of both legally aided and privately funded matters, with strong progression opportunities and ongoing training.
The Role
You will:
- Manage a varied caseload of criminal defence matters with supervision and support where required
- Conduct advocacy in the Magistrates’ Court
- Assist with Crown Court matters
- Attend police stations and court hearings
- Advise and represent clients throughout proceedings
- Liaise with courts, third parties and colleagues
- Prepare legal documentation and progress matters efficiently
- Support wider team objectives and compliance standards
About You
- Newly Qualified Solicitor or Trainee Solicitor due to qualify into Criminal Law
- Previous Criminal Law experience gained during training contract or prior legal roles
- Strong communication and client care skills
- Organised with the ability to manage deadlines effectively
- Proactive and team-focused approach

- Police Station Accreditation
- Duty Solicitor Status or willingness to work towards it
