The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Debt Recovery Solicitor to join a well known law firm.
Working closely with senior leadership, finance professionals, and fee earners across the business, you will play a key role in improving cash flow, reducing lock-up days, and supporting the continued financial success of the firm.

The Work
- Managing the recovery of the firm's outstanding invoices through negotiation and litigation where necessary.
- Working closely with fee earners, and senior stakeholders to reduce debtor days and improve cash collection.
- Reviewing aged debt and developing effective recovery strategies.
- Preparing and issuing Letters Before Action where appropriate.
- Negotiating directly with clients to achieve commercial and timely resolutions.
- Progressing matters through the litigation process where recovery cannot be achieved pre-action.
- Managing defended debt recovery proceedings through to resolution where required.
- Contributing to the development of efficient processes and best practices across the debt recovery function.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with at least 3 years' PQE in litigation, with experience in debt recovery or commercial litigation.
- Strong understanding of the litigation process and debt recovery procedures.
- Commercially minded with a pragmatic and solutions-focused approach.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the business.
- A proactive and collaborative team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
