About the role
This exciting opportunity involves managing a diverse caseload of civil claims against police forces, insurers, and large corporations. The caseload includes defending high-profile actions such as assault, false imprisonment, serious injury, data protection breaches, Human Rights Act violations, and complex group litigation. It also encompasses handling matters relating to catastrophic injuries, large-loss claims, and sensitive investigations, including public inquiries. Working closely with experienced colleagues, you'll develop and execute case strategies, draft key documentation, and support negotiations and court proceedings. The role offers a blend of case management, client liaison, and courtroom advocacy, all within a vibrant, collegiate team environment. It is ideal for solicitors with a background in defendant insurance, large loss, or police law who are committed to delivering high-quality legal representation.
The ideal candidate
The successful candidate will bring 2–5 years PQE, with a solid background in catastrophic injury or large-loss claims within defendant practices. They should have experience managing complex civil claims, particularly involving police or public authorities, with excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
