About the role
This permanent role as a Clinical Risk Solicitor/Associate involves managing a challenging yet rewarding caseload of defendant clinical negligence claims. Your work will include drafting legal documents, engaging in negotiations and mediations, and preparing cases for court proceedings. You will act as a primary contact for clients, providing commercially focused legal advice and ensuring adherence to deadlines and protocols. The position offers exposure to a broad spectrum of clients, including NHS Trusts, NHS Resolution, medical defence organisations, and private providers, offering excellent scope for professional development.

The ideal candidate

  • An NQ-8+PQE solicitor with experience in clinical negligence, complex personal injury, or insurance law.
  • Experience with NHS Resolution or MDO panels would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Strong organisational and technical skills, with a pragmatic, client-focused approach.
  • A willingness to mentor and collaborate within a team-oriented environment.
  • An appetite for high-quality work
