Defendant Personal Injury Solicitor | NQ – 5 | Preston | Hybrid Working
A well-established and highly regarded defendant insurance team are seeking a skilled Solicitor to join their team in Preston. The role offers the chance to work within a supportive and collaborative environment, managing a diverse caseload of defendant insurance matters, predominantly EL/PL, while contributing to a successful and growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage or assist with a varied caseload of EL/PL insurance litigation matters from instruction through to resolution, including claims involving injury, liability disputes, and contractual issues.
- Provide clear, practical legal advice both verbally and in writing.
- Handle client relationships and liaise with insurers, stakeholders and counsel.
- Undertake legal research, draft documents, and assess financial liability.
- Represent clients in court where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider team.
- Support business development initiatives and maintain strong client relationships.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards, while meeting performance targets.
About You:
- A Qualified Solicitor or CILEX, with NQ-5 years’ PQE.
- Strong experience in EL/PL claims.
- A solid understanding of the CPR and insurance litigation processes.
- Experience advising commercial clients and working with insurers.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate an ability to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines effectively.
- A team-oriented approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Exposure to complex or high-value matters is desirable.
