About the role
You will be an integral part of the highly regarded Education Team, advising on a wide variety of matters including safeguarding, admissions, exclusions, and regulatory issues involving Ofsted and the Department for Education. Your responsibilities will include managing own caseload, supporting complex cases, and assisting with strategic governance work for school clients. The role provides exposure to contentious and non-contentious work, with opportunities for career progression and collaboration with sector specialists across the organisation.
The ideal candidate
- Qualified Solicitor with experience in Public Sector education law
- Proven ability to manage own caseload independently
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interpret and convey complex legal issues
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and team collaboration
- IT literate, with familiarity in legal software and Microsoft systems
- Interest in business development and sector engagement is a bonus
