About the role

This role sits within the firm’s dedicated Casualty Fraud Team, providing expert services in claims validation, investigation, and defence related to public (PL) and employers’ liability (EL) claims across both private and public sectors. Based in Manchester, you will manage a caseload of predominantly fast-track fixed fee claims, with some multi-track cases depending on experience. You will liaise with clients, opponents, witnesses, and courts, conducting liability investigations, and working closely with specialist teams for intelligence searches and fraud enquiries.

  • Work predominantly on PI, EL, PL, and highways claims
  • Handle claims involving housing and public sector organisations
  • Achieve key targets and deadlines while maintaining high standards
  • Engage with client initiatives and develop your expertise within a supportive environment

The ideal candidate

  • Previous experience in managing defendant EL/PL casualty claims is essential
  • Experience handling casualty fraud claims is desirable
  • Genuine interest in claims validation and fraud detection
  • Working knowledge of PL, EL, and highways law
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage your own caseload and work effectively within a team
