About the role
This role involves managing a predominantly fast-track EL caseload from inception to resolution, including legal research, drafting, negotiations, and court representation where necessary. The successful candidate will thrive in a target-driven setting, working collaboratively to secure the best outcomes for clients, and keeping abreast of relevant legal developments to ensure top-quality service delivery.
The ideal candidate
- Experience handling EL or PI litigated files, ideally with portal and non-portal caseloads
- Proven ability to manage files from inception through to trial or disposal hearing
- Knowledge of civil procedure rules and litigation trends
- Genuine tenacity and determination to succeed in a demanding environment
- Strong legal research and drafting skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with case management systems (Proclaim preferred but not essential)
