An established and growing Employment team in Newcastle is seeking a senior Employment lawyer to join at Managing Associate level. This is an opportunity to take on an important role within a well-resourced practice, work closely with a high-quality client base and help shape the continued growth of the team.
You’ll enjoy a broad mix of respondent work across contentious and non-contentious matters, with the autonomy to lead complex cases and build lasting client relationships.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading on a varied and high-quality Employment caseload
- Advising clients on complex contentious and non-contentious issues
- Managing Employment Tribunal litigation
- Acting as a trusted adviser to clients across sectors including healthcare, education, schools, larger businesses and SMEs
- Supporting junior colleagues and working closely with partners
- Building client relationships, raising your market profile and contributing to business development
What we’re looking for
You’ll be an experienced employment Senior Associate or Managing Associate with:
- Significant respondent Employment law experience
- A strong track record in Employment Tribunal litigation and advisory work
- The ability to handle complex work independently and make sound commercial decisions
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- A proactive approach to networking and business development
- The ambition to play a meaningful part in a growing practice
