An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Employment Solicitor with 2+ years’ PQE to join a well-established law firm in Telford.
This is a great opportunity for an employment lawyer looking to take the next step in their career, working with a varied client base and handling a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
You’ll have genuine client contact and responsibility for your own work, while benefiting from the support of experienced colleagues within a friendly and collaborative team.
The Work will include:
- Advising employers on a broad range of day-to-day employment matters.
- Managing Employment Tribunal claims, including unfair dismissal and discrimination matters.
- Advising on disciplinary, grievance and performance issues.
- Assisting clients with redundancies, restructures and TUPE.
- Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies and settlement agreements.
- Providing practical and commercially focused advice to clients.
- Managing your own caseload and working effectively to deadlines.
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Working closely with colleagues and supporting more senior members of the team on complex matters.
- Contributing to business development and the continued growth of the Employment practice.
About You
We’re looking for a solicitor with:
- 2+ years’ PQE in Employment Law.
- Experience advising employer clients on contentious and/or non-contentious matters.
- Strong technical, drafting and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good client care and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to manage your own workload and prioritise competing deadlines.
- A practical and commercially minded approach.
- The confidence to deal directly with clients.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to working within a team.
