An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Employment Solicitor with 2–8 years’ PQE to join the Birmingham office of a leading national law firm.

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious employment lawyer looking to work on a varied caseload for an established client base. You’ll advise employers across a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters, working alongside experienced lawyers within a supportive and collaborative team.

The role offers genuine responsibility, strong client exposure and the opportunity to continue developing your technical expertise and commercial skills.

The Work will include:

  • Advising employer clients on day-to-day employment matters.
  • Managing Employment Tribunal claims, including discrimination, unfair dismissal and whistleblowing matters.
  • Advising on disciplinary, grievance, performance and redundancy processes.
  • Drafting and negotiating employment contracts, settlement agreements and policies.
  • Supporting clients on restructures, TUPE and other strategic employment issues.
  • Providing practical, commercially focused advice to clients.
  • Working closely with colleagues across the wider firm on corporate and other transactional matters.
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Supporting business development and contributing to the growth of the team.

About You

We’re looking for a solicitor with:

  • 2–8 years’ PQE in Employment Law.
  • Experience advising employer clients across contentious and/or non-contentious matters.
  • Strong technical, drafting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Commercial awareness and a practical approach to problem-solving.
  • The ability to manage your own workload and work effectively to deadlines.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and genuine ambition to develop your career.
