Employment Solicitor
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Employment Solicitor with 2–8 years’ PQE to join the Birmingham office of a leading national law firm.
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious employment lawyer looking to work on a varied caseload for an established client base. You’ll advise employers across a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters, working alongside experienced lawyers within a supportive and collaborative team.
The role offers genuine responsibility, strong client exposure and the opportunity to continue developing your technical expertise and commercial skills.
The Work will include:
- Advising employer clients on day-to-day employment matters.
- Managing Employment Tribunal claims, including discrimination, unfair dismissal and whistleblowing matters.
- Advising on disciplinary, grievance, performance and redundancy processes.
- Drafting and negotiating employment contracts, settlement agreements and policies.
- Supporting clients on restructures, TUPE and other strategic employment issues.
- Providing practical, commercially focused advice to clients.
- Working closely with colleagues across the wider firm on corporate and other transactional matters.
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Supporting business development and contributing to the growth of the team.
About You
We’re looking for a solicitor with:
- 2–8 years’ PQE in Employment Law.
- Experience advising employer clients across contentious and/or non-contentious matters.
- Strong technical, drafting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Commercial awareness and a practical approach to problem-solving.
- The ability to manage your own workload and work effectively to deadlines.
- A proactive, collaborative approach and genuine ambition to develop your career.
