This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal looking to take the next step in their legal career, with the opportunity to take genuine responsibility for their own caseload and develop their fee-earning experience. The role would suit someone who is ambitious, commercially aware and keen to progress within a supportive and established legal practice.
The Role
- Managing a caseload of matters with appropriate supervision and support
- Taking responsibility for fee-earning work from initial instruction through to completion
- Providing clear and practical advice to clients
- Drafting correspondence and legal documentation
- Conducting legal research and reviewing relevant documentation
- Liaising with clients, solicitors, third parties and other professionals
- Progressing matters efficiently and keeping clients updated
- Maintaining accurate and compliant case records
- Working closely with solicitors and other members of the wider team
- Building strong client relationships and delivering excellent client care

Key Responsibilities
- Managing your own caseload and progressing matters effectively
- Conducting legal research and preparing legal documentation
- Drafting correspondence and providing updates to clients
- Liaising with clients and relevant third parties
- Ensuring files are accurately maintained and compliant
- Managing deadlines and prioritising competing workloads
- Assisting solicitors on more complex matters where required
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
- Working towards relevant fee-earning and performance objectives
- Contributing positively to the wider team
About You
The ideal candidate will have previous legal experience and be keen to develop their fee-earning responsibilities. You will have:
- Previous experience working as a Paralegal within a legal environment
- Experience of managing or assisting with your own caseload
- Genuine interest in progressing within a fee-earning legal role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines
- Good legal research and drafting skills
- Strong client care skills
- A proactive and commercially aware approach
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team
- Ambition to develop and progress your legal career
