An exciting opportunity for an experienced Family Law Partner to lead and grow a private family practice in Manchester. This is an ideal role for an ambitious solicitor with strong technical expertise, an established network or proven business development skills, and the drive to build a successful practice with the backing of an ambitious, growing law firm.

About the role

Establish and lead the Manchester Family Law practice, driving its strategic direction and growth.

Handle complex, high-value privately funded family matters, including divorce, financial remedies, private children, cohabitation disputes and pre- and post-nuptial agreements.

Develop a team over time, with initial paralegal support and scope for further recruitment.

Build relationships with clients, referrers and professional contacts to generate new business and raise the practice’s profile.

Deliver high-quality legal advice and maintain excellent client service standards.
The ideal candidate

An experienced solicitor or Partner with a strong background in privately funded Family Law.

Proven expertise in complex, high-value family matters.

A track record of business development, with an existing network or the ability to generate new work.

An entrepreneurial approach and the ambition to build and grow a practice.

Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Previous team management experience is desirable, although the opportunity to develop a team is also available.
