We are working with a highly regarded Yorkshire-based practice that continues to grow its presence across the region. They are now looking to recruit a Family Solicitor to join their expanding Middlesbrough office, which has exciting plans for further development.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join a newly established and growing office, where you will play a key role in supporting the development of the family department, particularly following the recent award of a legal aid contract in the local area.
You will manage a varied caseload of family matters, with a strong focus on legal aid work including care proceedings, child arrangements, and domestic abuse cases. There is also scope to undertake privately funded work, including divorce, financial matters, and private children work, depending on your experience and interests.
The role will involve handling matters from initial instruction through to conclusion, including legal aid applications, drafting court documents, and advocacy at hearings.
About you:
• Ideally you will be a qualified Solicitor with around 5+PQE, although flexibility will be considered for the right candidate
• Experience in legal aid family work, including care proceedings and domestic abuse matters
• Law Society Children Panel membership would be advantageous but is not essential
• A team-oriented approach, alongside the ability to work independently, is key
Joining this firm gives you the chance to be part of a growing office at an exciting stage, where you can make a real contribution to building the family law offering in the local area.
They promote a supportive and collaborative environment, with a strong emphasis on client care, professional development, and encouraging individuals to play an active role in the firm’s continued success.
Overall, this is an excellent opportunity for a Family Lawyer looking to take the next step in their career within a progressive and expanding practice.
