An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Family Associate to join a highly regarded and growing private family team based in Preston. You'll work alongside experienced specialists on a varied caseload of high-quality matters, including complex children work, high-value financial cases and international family law issues.
This role offers the ideal balance of supporting on complex, high-profile matters while managing your own caseload, with opportunities to develop your advocacy skills and play a key role in the continued growth of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage your own caseload of private family law matters.
- Advise on complex children disputes and financial remedy cases, including high-net-worth matters.
- Support senior colleagues on complex and high-profile cases.
- Deliver clear, practical and empathetic advice to clients.
- Undertake advocacy where appropriate.
- Contribute to business development and help grow the practice.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
About You
- 3–6 years' PQE in private family law.
- Experience managing your own caseload and assisting on complex matters.
- Strong background in both children and financial remedy work.
- Exposure to, or a genuine interest in, international family law.
- Advocacy experience or a desire to develop this skill.
- Excellent communication, organisation and client care skills.
- A collaborative approach with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding client service.
