About the Role

  • Position: Family Solicitor (3-5 PQE+)
  • Practice Area: Family Law (Private & Legal Aid)
  • Location: Newark
  • Type: Full-time, with potential for flexible working (1 day at home post-probation)
  • Key responsibilities include managing a varied caseload, working closely with the HoD and partner, and helping to develop the family department further.
  • This role provides a unique chance to inherit a busy, well-respected caseload and prepare for a leadership position.

The Ideal Candidate

  • 3-5 years PQE in Family Law with substantial experience in both private and legal aid matters
  • Ambitious and committed to developing a busy, thriving department
  • Excellent client management skills and a proactive attitude
  • A team player who enjoys working closely with senior colleagues
  • Prepared to step into a leadership pathway with guidance from the current HoD
