You'll be joining a supportive national practice that advises NHS organisations and other health and social care providers on a broad range of complex, high-profile and rewarding matters.

The role
You'll join a growing Healthcare Advisory team in Birmingham, advising a national client base across a broad range of health and social care issues.

The work includes Court of Protection proceedings, judicial review, mental health and mental capacity matters, inquests, governance, patient safety investigations, public law, CQC regulation, confidentiality and information law.

Working alongside experienced senior lawyers, you'll receive excellent mentoring while developing your own expertise across a diverse range of advisory work. The role offers plenty of client contact and the opportunity to build lasting relationships with organisations that play a vital role in the healthcare sector.

What they're looking for

  • Qualified solicitor with 1–4 years' PQE
  • Experience in healthcare advisory work is welcomed but not essential
  • Experience in a complementary practice area such as public law, regulatory, Court of Protection, inquests, clinical negligence, employment, commercial litigation or similar would also be considered
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and client relationship abilities
  • Strong drafting skills and attention to detail
  • A collaborative and proactive approach
  • Genuine interest in developing a specialist healthcare advisory practice
