The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor, Associate or Senior Associate to join a highly regarded Healthcare Regulatory & Advisory team in Birmingham.

You'll advise NHS Trusts, private healthcare providers and other health and social care organisations on a broad range of regulatory and advisory matters. Whether you already have healthcare experience or are looking to transition from a complementary area such as litigation, public law, Court of Protection or regulatory work, this role offers an excellent platform to develop your expertise within a supportive national team.

The Role

You'll manage your own caseload while supporting partners on more complex matters.

Your work will include:

  • Managing inquest files for NHS and healthcare clients
  • Preparing witnesses and attending inquest hearings
  • Advocacy at Pre-Inquest Reviews and inquests where appropriate
  • Advising on healthcare regulatory issues, Court of Protection, Mental Health Tribunals and governance matters
  • Building strong client relationships and delivering practical, commercial advice
  • Supporting business development and contributing to the continued growth of the team

About You

You'll ideally have:

  • 2+ years' PQE
  • Experience in litigation, healthcare, public law, regulatory work, Court of Protection or another complementary area
  • Advocacy experience or a desire to develop advocacy skills
  • Strong communication, drafting and organisational skills
  • A proactive, collaborative and client-focused approach

Previous healthcare advisory experience is beneficial but not essential. The team is keen to hear from lawyers looking to specialise in this growing area.
