An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Housing and Property Litigation Solicitor with 2+ years’ PQE to join a successful team in Birmingham.

The team acts for a broad range of Registered Providers, local authorities and private landlords, advising on the full range of housing management and property litigation matters.

This is a great opportunity for a solicitor looking to develop their career within a specialist practice, with responsibility for their own caseload and the chance to work closely with experienced partners and a strong client base.

The Work will include:

  • Managing your own caseload of housing management and property litigation matters.
  • Handling possession proceedings, injunctions and disrepair claims.
  • Advising clients on wider housing management issues and policy matters.
  • Supporting partners on larger and more complex cases.
  • Dealing directly with clients, managing expectations and providing practical advice.
  • Managing a busy caseload and working effectively across multiple deadlines.
  • Supervising and supporting junior team members, including paralegals.
  • Delivering training and guidance to clients where required.
  • Contributing to client development and business development initiatives.

About You

We’re looking for a solicitor with:

  • 2+ years’ PQE with experience in housing management and/or property litigation.
  • Experience running your own caseload with appropriate levels of supervision.
  • Strong technical and case management skills.
  • The ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise competing deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong client care and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach.
  • The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a wider team.
  • Experience supervising junior colleagues would be advantageous.
