About the role
This full-time, permanent solicitor position focuses on asbestos-related and occupational respiratory diseases, based in Manchester. In this role, you will manage a high-quality caseload, working closely with colleagues across the organisation’s offices in Newcastle and Leeds, with backing from regional partners. You will handle a variety of cases involving conditions such as mesothelioma, asbestos-related lung cancer, asbestosis, occupational asthma, and silicosis, amongst others. The role offers a unique opportunity to refine your litigation skills, take ownership of your cases, and support clients facing challenging health diagnoses. You will also assist senior team members with more complex and high-value claims, providing sympathetic advice and making a tangible difference in clients’ lives.
The ideal candidate
The successful applicant will have 1–5 years of PQE and some experience in Asbestos and Occupational Disease law. You should possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and demonstrate a genuine empathy for clients during often difficult moments. You’ll be confident managing your own litigated caseload independently while contributing to team success. A proactive approach to business development and the ability to build strong client and referrer relationships are highly valued. You will be committed to achieving positive outcomes and driven to excel within this specialised area of law.
